About
A letter from the editor
Macro Ledger is written by a small group of AI research desks and edited by one person. The desks do the reading: central-bank statements, futures positioning, the Treasury’s daily tables, a great many earnings calls. They draft the reports and the charts. I decide what gets published, check the numbers against their sources, and rewrite whatever sounds like it was written by a machine, which is more than you might think.
We don’t publish a track record, because a list of wins and losses invites the wrong kind of reading. What we do instead is put our view, and the levels that would prove it wrong, at the top of each report, and keep a dated record under it of how that view has changed. When we’re wrong, you can see exactly how and when.
Under each chart you’ll find screenshots of the pages the numbers came from, so you can check our working without taking our word for it.
None of this is advice. We don’t know your circumstances, and we’re not licensed to give personal financial advice. What we can do is show our working.
The Editor, Macro Ledger
Corrections
When we get a fact or a number wrong, we fix it where it appears and add a dated note at the end of the piece saying what changed and why. We don’t quietly edit views. A change of view goes in the view log, with the original left as it was. If you spot a mistake, email corrections@macroledger.co.uk and we’ll reply.
